How much does it cost?

• We charge a flat studio fee of $8.00 per day for adults and $5.00 per day for teens and younger. The studio fee includes unlimited studio time and access to all of our paints, sponges, brushes, stencils, stamps, books and other decorative materials. It also includes glazing and firing of the piece. The price of the bisque is separate and can range from $5.00 to $80.00

Will my piece be food and dishwasher safe?

• You bet! We only use non-toxic glazes.

How long does it take to paint?

• It depends on you! Most medium sized pieces take about an hour to paint but there is no time limit-stay all day if you wish!

Do I need a reservation?

• No. Our main Studio room is for walk-ins. Reservations are only required for Parties or large groups.

How long until I can pick up my piece?

• We will try to have all pieces ready for pickup within a few days. During busy holidays seasons it may take a little longer, although it should never be longer than a week. Cafe Art will not be held responsible for pieces held longer than 30 days.

How old do I need to be?

• There are no age requirements! Everyone is welcome! You can be young, old or in between! Parents or Grandparents can bring in the little ones to do footprints or handprints (makes a great gift or memento!). Young children love to express their artistic talent and we have plenty of pieces that kids like to paint. Café Art also has a small area with some toys to keep little ones entertained if they finish before the adults.

I'm not artistic and have never painted before-can I still do this?

• Definitely! An art degree is not required! Café Art has many design books, stamps, stencils, samples and pictures to give you ideas and inspire you.

Will you just paint the piece for me?

• Yes. Please call 925.373.0222 or come by for an estimate.

Can I bring in my own food and drink?

• Yes. In fact, we encourage this for events such as bridal showers, baby showers, etc.

What supplies of my own do I need to bring?

• Nothing! We supply everything you need! We have paints, stencils, sponges, books and hundreds of different kinds of bisque to choose from.

Do you offer discounts for charitable and non-profit organizations?

I throw my own pottery at home. Can I bring it in for you to fire?

• Yes. Please call 925.373.0222 or come in for an estimate and pricing information. *

Can I bring in my own pottery pieces to paint?

• Yes. Bring your piece in, the regular sitting fees will apply for all pieces not purchased at Café Art. If you would also like these pieces glazed and fired there is an additional $4.00 glazing and firing fee per piece. * (prices may vary depending on size)
